This campaign was launched in December 2008 in partnership with trained volunteers from New Start, to help fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic through education, voluntary testing, counselling and lifestyle awareness programmes.  SSHC and New Start volunteers work in different areas throughout the Johannesburg region, distributing condoms and providing free testing and counselling in an effort to reduce the rate of HIV infections by promoting awareness and prevention. The Department of Health has trained SSHC volunteers to become peer educators, enabling them to influence communities positively.
